Luxurious Art Deco Sideboard from the 1930s - Walnut Diamonds and Glass Lamellas (After Renovation)

A monumental buffet with an extension in the style of mature Art Deco (Streamline Moderne). A real masterpiece of Polish carpentry from the 1930s. It is distinguished by its stunning walnut veneer arranged in a geometric diamond shape and unique glass lamellas on the window arches. The piece of furniture has been comprehensively renovated, finished with natural hard oil.

We present to you a piece of furniture that is the quintessence of luxury and refined design of the 1930s. This impressive sideboard (chest of drawers with an independent top) is a textbook example of the Streamline Moderne trend - a streamlined style that was fascinated by aerodynamics and modernity. The body of the furniture is based on powerful, rounded runners, which gives it incredible seriousness and stability, balanced by a light, glass top.

Hypnotizing Veneer (Diamond Arrangement)
The fronts of the lower chest of drawers are a display of absolute carpentry virtuosity. The highest-class walnut veneer was used, which was perfectly cut and arranged symmetrically from four leaves (the so-called "four" arrangement). The swirls and grains of the wood converge towards the center, creating a mesmerizing, geometric pattern resembling a rhombus or diamond. This detail proves the highest craftsmanship of old masters, probably from the famous Krakow or Calvary School.

Jewellery detail - Glass Lamellas
The greatest and rarest advantage of this sideboard is the display unit. The rounded corners are not made of one bent glass pane, but consist of dozens of narrow, vertical glass lamellas arranged in an arc. This is an extremely expensive and difficult procedure, which beautifully refracts light and gives the furniture the status of a museum/collector's item.

The furniture underwent a multi-week revitalization process:

-We removed the old, yellowed paint coatings to the raw veneer.

-We secured the entire surface of the highest class hard oil. Thanks to this, the wood has gained a noble, satin-matt finish.

-Hard oil guarantees high resistance to water, alcohol and everyday use - the veneer is protected and at the same time velvety to the touch.

-The interior of the cabinets has been fully refreshed, it is sterile clean and smells of natural wood.

- The mirror surface in the extension has been replaced with a new one. new.
