An absolute unique piece of Polish Art Deco. Asymmetrical "staircase" chest of drawers from the 1930s, veneered with spectacular walnut burl. A piece of furniture after a comprehensive renovation, which is a combination of architecture and applied art.

When nature meets architecture - Icon of the Art Deco style

We present to you a piece of furniture that happens once in a thousand renovations. This is no ordinary chest of drawers - it is a work of carpentry art from the 1930s that defines the concept of old-style luxury. The piece of furniture represents the Streamline Moderne trend (streamlined style) and the form commonly known as Skyscraper' (Cloudscraper), characterized by a dynamic, stepped shape.

Veneer Championship - Walnut Burl
What is hypnotizing at first glance is the wood pattern. The fronts of the furniture are covered with the highest qualitywalnut burl.
The master carpenter arranged the veneer leaves in the so-called mirror reflections and cross patterns. As a result, symmetrical, kaleidoscopic images were created on the doors, which shimmer with a thousand shades - from honey gold to deep brown. It is a natural

beauty that cannot be duplicated by any modern technology.

Origin and Style
The furniture comes from the leading workshops ofKalwaria Zebrzydowskaof the interwar period. This is evidenced by:

- Massive, but extremely elegant shape with rounded, "soft" corners.

- Solid base on characteristic runners (sled), veneered with darker walnut for contrast.

- Attention to every construction detail.

Functionality
Despite its artistic form, the furniture is extremely practical and adjustable (only 140 cm wide):

- Display cabinet: The glass extension with a rounded corner is an ideal place to display glass or ceramics collections.

- Bar and secretary: The upper tilting cabinet and drawers will accommodate documents or bar accessories.

- Space Storage: Capacious lower cabinets will hide tableware, albums or audio equipment.

- Countertop: The lower part of the furniture creates an excellent space for placing a lamp or sculpture.

Condition and Renovation
The furniture has undergone a full, professional renovation in our studio.
Old paint coatings have been removed. The veneer defects were filled while maintaining the continuity of the wood pattern. We secured the whole thing with high-class hard oil.
The effect? The wood is velvety to the touch, has a satin finish and is resistant to water and everyday use. The interior is clean, refreshed and smells of natural wood. The locks are functional and the keys are included in the set.
