Art Deco table restoration — veneer repair and oil finish
The tabletop had lifting veneer and the edge showed damaged veneer. The old finish had become cloudy, obscuring the decorative wood grain. These photos show the table before work and after restoration in our workshop.
Work completed
- Repairing the veneer on the top and edge.
- Removing the old lacquer.
- Protecting the surface with hard oil resistant to water, hot cups and alcohol.
Restoration reveals the radial veneer pattern and depth of the wood colour again. The oil finish brings out the grain. Wipe up spills and use coasters to care for the surface.
