Fully restored in our workshop with premium hard wax oil and newly upholstered in a vibrant mustard yellow fabric. Sold as a complete set.

A Mid-Century Discovery with Authenticity
At EuroVintageRestored (SkarbyPRLu), we love furniture that tells a story. At first glance, this dynamic set of 6 dining chairs looks identical to the famous Polish designs by Rajmund Halas. However, during the restoration process, we discovered a perfectly preserved original paper label underneath one of the seats!
This set is actually the rare Model "Avala", produced in the 1960s by the woodworking combine in Sremska Mitrovica, former Yugoslavia. Yugoslavian Mid-Century design is highly revered by collectors for its exceptional carpentry and sleek, Scandinavian-inspired aesthetics.
The Perfect Color Palette: Walnut & Mustard
This matching set of 6 has undergone a comprehensive, uncompromising restoration:
Woodwork: The frames and the beautiful curved backrests (which retain their original, striking European walnut veneer) were entirely stripped by hand. They were stained in a rich, warm dark walnut tone and sealed with premium, eco-friendly hard wax oil. This treatment provides a silky, satin-matte finish that protects the wood against daily dining use without the artificial gloss of synthetic lacquers.
Upholstery: The drop-in seats were completely rebuilt. To maintain the elegant, floating look of the original design, we used custom-profiled high-density foam (4 cm thick in the center, gracefully tapering towards the edges). The seats are upholstered in a high-quality, durable woven fabric in a vibrant mustard yellow. This classic mid-century color creates a breathtaking contrast against the dark walnut wood.
