A highly sought-after, matching pair of vintage nightstands that perfectly bridge the gap between Art Deco elegance and Mid-Century Modern lightness. Designed as a mirrored set (left and right opening), they are the ideal frame for any bed. They feature softly rounded edges, breathtaking book-matched walnut veneer, and sleek tapered legs. Fully restored and finished with premium hard wax oil.
Perfect Symmetry for Your Bedroom
Finding a single vintage cabinet in great condition is wonderful, but acquiring an authentic, mirror-image pair is a true rarity. We are proud to present a set of nightstands created to complement each other perfectly. They open in opposite directions (left and right hinges), making them the ultimate, harmonious frame for a bed in a sophisticated bedroom.
Where Art Deco Meets Mid-Century Lightness
These pieces are a fascinating example of design evolution. The main bodies of the cabinets strongly reference the luxurious Streamline Art Deco aesthetic, featuring softly rounded vertical edges and sturdy, full-length brass piano hinges. Conversely, they are elevated on slender, tapered compass legs, giving them an incredible visual lightness that is the hallmark of 1950s and 60s Mid-Century Modern style.
Mesmerizing Woodwork
The top surfaces and front doors are a showcase of absolute cabinetmaking mastery. They are covered in premium European walnut veneer. The craftsman utilized the book-matching technique, arranging the veneer leaves symmetrically so the grain creates a mesmerizing, flame-like natural image that serves as a stunning focal point.
Uncompromising Restoration by EuroVintageRestored (SkarbyPRLu)
The pair has undergone a comprehensive restoration in our specialized workshop:
All old, degraded varnishes were meticulously stripped down to the bare wood.
Both the exterior and the interior were treated with premium, eco-friendly hard wax oil.
The Result: This modern, high-end treatment provides a natural, satin-matte touch that highlights the 3D depth of the wood grain while protecting the surface against moisture and daily use (unlike old synthetic lacquers). The interiors, featuring a sturdy wooden shelf, are flawlessly clean and refreshed.
DIMENSIONS (per nightstand):
