A Documented Piece of Design History
We are thrilled to offer a true gem for Mid-Century Modern collectors. This is the iconic "Type 640-B" radio table. The absolute highlight of this specific piece is the perfectly preserved original paper manufacturer's label underneath the top. Thanks to this, we know the exact birth date of this table: May 4, 1971, produced by the Woodworking Enterprise in Koronowo, Poland.
Timeless Contrast: Oak, Ash & Matte Black
The table features an incredibly light, graphic silhouette heavily inspired by Scandinavian design principles.
The top surface is finished in noble oak veneer, while the highly practical suspended lower shelf and side panels feature beautiful, expressive ash veneer.
The frame rests on slender, tapered compass legs and side ladder-supports, which have been restored in an elegant matte black finish. This high contrast gives the piece a remarkably contemporary look.
Charming light-colored wooden plugs on the side frames add an authentic, artisanal vintage detail to the overall design.

The piece has undergone a comprehensive restoration in our specialized workshop. All degraded historical varnishes were meticulously stripped down to the bare wood. The natural veneers were then treated with premium hard wax oil. This high-end treatment provides a natural, satin-matte touch that highlights the wood grain while protecting the surface against moisture and daily use.
