We are proud to present a piece that defines the luxury of European pre-war cabinetmaking. Originally the monumental top extension of a 1930s Art Deco sideboard, this piece has been expertly upcycled in our workshop. By crafting matching, solid oak turned bun feet, we transformed it into a stunning, independent low display cabinet (or console).

What makes this piece truly exceptional is the use of three distinct, luxurious wood species:

• Solid Oak: The robust main structure and the elegant door frames are crafted from oak, ensuring stability and a classic look.

• Rich Mahogany: Opening the cabinet (a single original key smoothly operates all three locks) reveals a breathtaking interior. The back panel and the long, sturdy shelf are fully veneered in exotic mahogany, providing a warm, luxurious backdrop for your displayed items.

• Figured Walnut: The expansive 152 cm top surface is covered in beautiful European walnut veneer, adding a final touch of sophistication.

Jewelry-Like Details – Curved & Beveled Glass
The cabinet embraces the Streamline Moderne aesthetic with its aerodynamic curves. The rounded side doors feature their original curved glass panes. Notably, the edges of this curved glass have been meticulously beveled by hand—a costly 1930s artisanal technique that beautifully refracts light, giving the piece a crystal-like quality.

Despite its impressive length, the cabinet is incredibly slender, with a depth of only 33.5 cm (13.2 in). It will not overwhelm your living space or block pathways. With a height of 76 cm (30 in), it is the ultimate versatile piece, serving perfectly as:

Uncompromising Restoration
The cabinet has undergone a comprehensive restoration. All old degraded varnishes were meticulously stripped down to the bare wood. The surface was then finished with premium eco-friendly hard wax oil. This modern, high-end treatment provides a natural, satin-matte touch that highlights the grain and protects the surface against moisture and daily use. The interior is flawlessly clean and odorless.
