Round table, round oak table, 1950s, art deco

A round oak table after renovation. 

Strong construction, thick, stable legs typical of the art deco style, which was popular in the 1950s.

Dimensions: top diameter 80.5 cm, height 77 cm. Thanks to these dimensions, the table is dual-function - it can be a dinner table for 2 people or a coffee table. Typical dinner tables usually had a diameter of 100 cm and above, and typical coffee tables had a diameter of less than 70 cm.

The table was renovated. Old varnish and paint coatings were removed, veneer losses were filled, and the structure was re-glued. The whole thing was protected with several layers of hard oil. It is a much more durable coating than polish or varnish. It is completely resistant to water, alcohol and hot cups. The table can be used without the risk of damage, there is no need to cover it with a tablecloth or use coasters for glasses and cups. Very easy to keep clean, no dirt sticks to the surface.
