Tatra Nabytok chest of drawers designed by F.Jirak after renovation

A small chest of drawers with walnut veneer in a very original form after comprehensive renovation. A very interesting combination of shapes on the sides of the chest of drawers and rounded doors give a very original look. A chest of drawers designed by F. Jirak for the Czechoslovak furniture factory Tatra Nabytok in the 1960s, made of wood (not furniture board) with natural walnut veneer and a beautiful top. The shiny, yellow chemically hardened varnish was removed and then the surface was protected with hard oil (several layers), which strongly emphasized the grain pattern. Black legs and new black handles gave the chest of drawers a more contemporary look.
