Home desk type 20-11 VAR II B, designed by M. Puchała, after renovation

A beautiful desk designed by Mieczysław Puchała, produced in the 1960s at the Głuchołaskie Furniture Factory.

Type 20-11 Var II B is a premium version of an earlier design by the same author (type 20-11).

The desk is made of furniture board and wood, covered with walnut and mahogany veneer.

There are 2 drawers under the top. with sloping fronts, in a lockable cabinet with 3 internal drawers. The walnut grain on the tabletop has a pattern resembling a tiger's skin.

The desk is double-sided, which means that the back (back) also has an elegant veneer, so it can be used as a piece of furniture for a small office, it does not have to be placed next to the wall.

The desk has undergone a thorough renovation, the old polyester varnish was removed and the whole thing was protected again with hard oil, thanks to which we obtained an elegant velvety gloss with preserved veneer grain. In addition, hard oil for furniture, apart from its visual effect, is resistant to temperature, which means that during work, placing a hot cup of coffee or tea on the table will not leave a white circle, as happens with varnishes. Another advantage is the ease of refreshing the furniture after some time of intensive use.
